My Story
Both Sides of the Desk
I’m Lisa Towles, an award-winning crime novelist, book coach, and longtime marketing and communications strategist. Over two decades as a working author, I’ve published through traditional, independent, academic, and hybrid paths and learned firsthand how much writers are expected to figure out beyond writing the book.
My professional career gave me another toolkit: branding, marketing, communications, technology, and strategy. Story Impact brings those two worlds together.
My purpose is simple: to help writers understand what makes them distinctive, make smarter decisions about their work and careers, and connect more meaningfully with the readers they want to reach.
