Coaching Programs
My role as a Book Coach is to help you define or refine your author vision, clarify your writing and publishing goals, find your book’s exact audience, and boost your skills, knowledge and confidence to shine in today’s publishing landscape.
I am not a publisher, editor, or literary agent. Using my marketing, strategy, and publishing expertise, I’m a strategic partner, who will prepare you for every aspect of your book’s evolution and your author journey.
Through coaching, we’ll work together to build your author brand, clarify your goals, and identify your core “why.” Through market intelligence strategies, we’ll pinpoint your target audience and develop a strategic social media plan to reach them. We’ll prepare you to confidently approach a literary agent or publisher, or to launch your book yourself. My approach is rooted in collaboration: I’ll gather your feedback to understand your specific goals, then we’ll create a customized strategy and plan to help you achieve them.
I offer two coaching programs, each based on achieving a specific outcome related to your writing career. The Breakthrough Program is intended for debut authors and The Mastery Program supports more experienced authors. Breakthrough Program
With my Breakthrough Program, we’ll work together to refine your goals, align them to a strategic vision, and establish a path forward. Our work together will focus on the what, why, how, so you feel more confident about what you’re doing, clearer about where you’re going, and more empowered about how to get there. I’ll get you started with clear steps and templates to launch right now. The Breakthrough Program will put you and your book on the map and provide you with direction, a plan forward, and a basic author platform.
The Breakthrough Program typically includes the following services but can be customized according to what you need most:
Publishing Consultation – Based on where you are in your writing process, I’ll help you establish the best path for launching your book, including self, hybrid, or traditional publishing. I’ll help you query an agent or publisher if needed, and coach you on how to write a book pitch.
Understanding Your Market – Through a market analysis, we’ll identify your target market and uncover the audience for your book. Then we’ll go deeper to identify your book’s “hook” and use that to unlock the best channels for reaching your target readers.
Author Platform – This is the most in-depth work in the Breakthrough Program. You may already have an author platform, or the beginnings of one. Using what we learned through your market analysis and my experience with digital marketing in a literary landscape, I’ll provide:
Website Critique
I’ll help you create a compelling Author Headshot
Create an Author Bio (with different lengths and versions)
Social Media Profile Evaluation – I’ll evaluate your channels and provide recommendations on currency, effectiveness, alignment for consistency, and how to boost SEO and engagement. Then we’ll pull that detail into Amazon Author Central and Goodreads. If you don’t yet have social media platforms, I’ll create profiles for you on two platforms (based on your audience and market analysis), providing posting templates, instruction, and strategies for how to gain new followers.
Editorial Reviews are important evidence of the quality of your story and writing skills. If your book is finished, I’ll help you connect with the resources you need to gain reviews and testimonials prior to publication.
The Breakthrough Program also includes coaching and guidance on how to promote your book – on social media platforms, to booksellers, and to community venues.

Mastery Program
The Mastery Program is for more experienced authors wanting to go deeper, delving into your WHY. We’ll unlock the purpose behind your books, and uncover why readers will care about them. For authors who are writing books regularly, I’ll help you create a repeatable playbook for writing, marketing, publishing, and promotion. This program includes a comprehensive marketing plan and reusable social media templates with tips and strategies to keep your online engagement growing.
The Mastery Program includes everything in the Breakthrough Program but goes deeper into each area, employing strategic digital marketing techniques to narrow down your target audience, elevate your online engagement to reach them, and prep your online channels for your forthcoming book release.
